Abbey Residential came to us with a new luxury retirement community they were building in Georgetown, Texas. They needed all new creative starting with a name, logo, website and brochure. We pitched many names and they decided on The Oscar after the architect that designed the iconic courthouse in downtown Georgetown. Abbey Residential wanted an elevated and refined looking logo that still felt authentically Texan. I created a customized logotype with extended swashes and used vintage maps and image of poppies combined with san serif type and to create a brand that looked modern but with hints of nostalgia.
